Our CHS Homecoming Event will start Monday, September 11, at Columbine High School kicking off the new school year. The Homecoming dance will be on September 16th in the evening at the Columbine gymnasium. Tickets are $20 now but will be sold at the door as well. There will be music and sweet conga lines plus amazing decorations by Columbine’s senate student body and parent volunteers. The theme of the dance will be announced shortly, so get ready to embrace it and play up that school spirit. The dance is a great way for everyone to enjoy themselves in a safe, friendly environment. Homecoming is open to all grades and people are allowed to bring dates from other schools, just remember to fill out a guest form for him or her.
Prior to the Homecoming dance will be the much anticipated football game against the Chatfield chargers! Playing at the Jeffco stadium, school spirit is extremely high and cheering is a must. The cheerleaders and poms can teach everyone the school cheers so everyone can be a part of the awesome cheering.
Don’t forget the exciting Spirit Week to usher in even more school spirit! Starting Monday September 11th and continuing until the Homecoming game day everyone can participate! Dress up in whacky costumes, promoting a sense of unity between classes. The class with the most school spirit during the school assembly will be awarded the coveted Spirit Wrench. So far the seniors have won every year but this could be the year that tradition is broken. Usher in the new school year with a week of festivities, school spirit, and fun.
The dance that follows will be a lot of fun. Students will dress up in the week prior for Quidditch Sports Day, Hermione Nerd Day, Invisibility What-Not-to-Wear Day, Time-Turner Decade Day, House Class Day. Click Here to view all the events.
