Columbine High School kicks off its annual Homecoming week Sept 9 2019 in Littleton, CO to celebrate the new school year and bring the school together.
Several events happen this week including Spirit Week. Students will dress up with a theme of
Monday: trix = tie-dye
Tuesday: Froot Loops = tacky tourist
Wednesday: Wheaties = favorite sport gear
Thursday: Corn Flakes = cowboy
Friday: class shirts/ rebel gear
The class that has the most students dress up for this week wins the spirit wrench.
The assembly is the event that hypes everyone up for the main events of the week. There are many events that happen during the assembly like games that anyone can be chosen for. The assembly hyppes up the school for the homecoming dance and the football game that follow.
Another event that occurs is earlier in the week and it is on Tuesday. The bonfire is when students come after school to watch a bonfire be lit. There are many fun games like spike ball, cornhole, and there is also water pong. This event is so that the students can come together and enjoy playing games and watching a huge fire.
